| Read Our Blog Read Our Blog Blog If at First You Donât Succeed; Try, Try Again Megan Hammond May 16, 2016 Senior Services, Training 0 Erin-Dail Plunkett spent almost a 12 months on the lookout for work with no success. She was getting interviews, but not job provides. With a powerful work history and priceless experience, Erin felt discouraged about not receiving job provides after interviewing time and time again. She was convinced that being a senior was affecting her job search and the way she was viewed by employers. When Erin got here to National Able Network, she felt pissed off and discouraged, but was keen to do what was essential to find employment. Erin was enrolled in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) and commenced Ableâs Job Readiness Training to enhance her job search skills. After a few weeks, Erin felt that the training was helping her significantly and was excited to use the myriad of expertise she discovered in her upcoming interviews! After a couple of interviews, Erin was offered a job in administrative assist at an area manufacturing company! Erin accepted the position and may be very joyful that sheâs employed at a company that values her expertise and maturity. Erin is grateful to Able for permitting her to see that age isnât at all times the one barrier to unemployment. She credits the amazing coaching she obtained as one of many main reasons for not only finding a job, however a job that she loves! Congratulations to you, Erin!
